Chuck Loewen
Over the last few months, our headlines have been full of government updates, case statistics, economic indicators and, perhaps even more important, stories of individuals who are working on the frontlines to help keep the rest of us safe. As I write this note, we are seeing measured changes taking place across Canada and the US, maybe even a growing sense of cautious optimism.
Throughout these uncertain times, three things have become even more clear to me.
1. We work with the best clients. Repeatedly over these past few months, we have been asked to help you find ways to effectively enable your staff, respond to the increased needs of your customers, or re-prioritize initiatives as you put social needs ahead of corporate ones. I thank you for your trust and your partnership, but even more so, I commend you on the great work you are doing.
2. Onliners are extraordinary. I have seen Onliners step up in unbelievable ways. From supporting each other through virtual check-ins, to delivering groceries to those at risk, to sewing much needed face masks – the examples are endless and make me very proud of the Online team.
3. There is still goodness around us. In April, Online celebrated its 34th anniversary and made the “Best Workplaces in Canada” list for the 14th consecutive year, placing in the top 10. While these events pale in significance to COVID-19 realities, they reminded me that there is much to celebrate and it’s important to take the time to appreciate the good around us. I want to send a big shout-out to Onliners and to our clients and partners who have helped Online become who we are today – thank you!
We will all get through this and will learn valuable lessons along the way that will make us stronger than ever. If there is anything I or the team here at Online can do, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you.
Stay well,
- Chuck
